New Patient Experience

If you are new to Kois Dentistry, you can rest assured you have selected one of the best dental teams in the greater Seattle area. Our dentists, prosthodontists, and orthodontist have undergone extensive training in their respective specialties and are dedicated to helping you achieve optimal oral health for life. In addition to providing an evaluation of your teeth and gums, our dental professionals will listen to what you hope to achieve through dental treatments. Whether you are in need of cosmetic dentistry, restorative dental care, or are simply due for a professional cleaning and exam, we will work closely with you to design a treatment plan that can help you obtain the beautiful, healthy teeth you desire.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first appointment at Kois Dentistry will involve an in-depth exam, which may take up to 90 minutes. In addition a clinical evaluation, you may also have a routine dental cleaning, X-rays, digital imaging, and diagnostic impressions taken of your teeth. This is all done to provide our dentists with a comprehensive understanding of your oral health and function, allowing them to customize an effective treatment plan. Your needs will be determined based on your periodontal health, oral function, smile appearance, and past dental treatments.

To further plan your treatment and begin the process, a follow-up appointment may be scheduled. If you require work from any other dental specialists, we will help you coordinate with them as needed.

I had my first (new patient) exam today after a long time of no dental care. I was embarrassed and terrified of what they were going to say and find. Not only did the dentist and his assistant put me at ease but they even managed to pay a few compliments about my teeth. The office is very high tech but very personable. Dr.Dean was easy to talk to and answered all of my questions–I did not feel rushed. Dana the hygienist was amazing. My husband and I are both (will be) happy returning patients.
