Want to get Teeth in a Day in Seattle? Have you been considering replacing missing teeth or ill-fitting dentures with dental implants but don’t want to undergo invasive surgery or a long recovery before getting your replacement teeth? You should try “Teeth in a Day”!
What is Teeth in a Day?
Teeth in a Day is an innovative system that allows patients to enjoy the benefits of dental implants but without the surgery or recovery time associated with traditional treatment. With Teeth in a Day, you can eat, speak and smile confidently again in as little as one day.
The success of Teeth in a Day is highly dependent on the dentist who performs the procedure. With years of experience, Dr. Dean Kois is the trusted choice for patients in Seattle who wish to restore their teeth with dental implants and Teeth in a Day. As a leading prosthodontist, Dr. Kois is expertly trained and skilled in utilizing the most advanced implant dentistry techniques and materials so your smile can be both beautiful and long-lasting.
What are the Advantages of Teeth in a Day?
Traditional dental implant treatment typically takes two dental appointments, spaced several months apart. This is to allow the dental implant post to integrate with the jawbone so it can serve as a stable foundation to the replacement teeth. With Teeth in a Day, the implant post and replacement teeth are placed in one appointment. Advanced computer imaging technology is used to carefully plan out the exact placement of the implant posts and replacement teeth. Thanks to the precision of the Teeth in a Day system, treatment and healing time are minimized. Your replacement teeth will be ready for use almost immediately after placement.
Like traditional implants, Teeth in a Day can be used to replace one tooth, several teeth or a full arch of missing teeth. When replacing a full arch of teeth, as many as eight implant posts may be placed during traditional treatment. Teeth in a Day usually requires less posts (as few as four), depending on the amount of jawbone available. Fewer implants means a less-invasive surgery, and in turn a shorter recovery than traditional implant placement.
Teeth in a Day has several advantages, including:
- Replace missing teeth immediately
- Stable replacement teeth that will not shift or slip out (which is a concern with traditional dentures)
- Replacement teeth that look, feel and function very similarly to natural teeth
- Shorter recovery
- Minimized post-surgery discomfort
Candidacy for Teeth in a Day is determined on an individual basis. Dr. Kois will examine your mouth and discuss your dental needs and goals with you to determine the best course of treatment.
Dr. Kois will use 3D computer imaging technology and virtual stimulation software to create a highly detailed image of your mouth and jaw. This allows Dr. Kois to visualize the procedure before beginning treatment, making way for a safer surgery and more personalized treatment. This also allows you to see your results before the procedure. Dr. Kois will also take measurements and impressions of your teeth to craft your natural-looking dental restoration.
The actual procedure is generally shorter and less invasive than traditional implant placement. To begin, Dr. Kois makes a small incision in the gums to place the titanium post. An abutment and your custom-made dental restoration will be placed on top. Last-minute adjustments will be made to your restoration to ensure a secure yet comfortable fit. Your restoration will also be puffed and polished so it closely matches the appearance of natural tooth enamel.
We advise that you eat soft foods for the first few days after your procedure. Minor discomfort is normal and can be managed with prescription medication. We will provide you with a detailed list of instructions to follow as you recover. With good oral hygiene, including brushing and flossing, and regular dental checkups with our team, your replacement teeth can last for many years.
